set down by ⬡ PineWorm44

Ingredients

8 lb plain white sugar 6 gallons water 2 tbsp yeast nutrient 1 packet turbo or distiller's yeast

Instructions

Dissolve the sugar fully in warm water, then top up to six gallons. Cool to 80°F, add the nutrient, and pitch the yeast. Ferment 5–7 days at a steady warm temperature until it clears and quiets down. Rack off the sediment and run it. A clean wash makes a clean spirit.

Notes from the maker

The cleanest base there is. Good for first-timers learning their cuts.
